Hi im Freddie
I have a passion for design and technology, i love to make, design and build things that either serve a function or are just fun and cool
About me
I have an absolute passion for creating things out of a wide variety of mediums, whether that is model making with my 3D printers or using wood and metal, latex, foam and clay, among other things. I enjoy mechanics, CAD, electrical engineering and art and design, and it is my ambition to work in special effects and prop design. I am a film enthusiast and have created various props such as light sabers and an Iron Man helmet. I have made a robotic hand, dioramas (which I also realistically paint using a spray gun) and a 3D printed mammoth skeleton in the style of Salvador Dali for my A Level Art project. My A Level DT project was on re-usable energy and in the Sixth Form I won the prestigious national competition Mobile Home of 2030 – my team and I designed and made a model of an innovative and eco-friendly housing unit which would not only meet the needs of inhabitants into the future, but also take into consideration our environment and limited resources. This also involved leadership, teamwork, time-management, video editing, presentation skills, prototyping, client experience research, 3D modelling and creative inspiration. I feel that this line of work would not just be a job, but a vocation, a passion and a life-long career - I can’t wait to learn, to create and to innovate in a fantastic, friendly team.
